For me, illustration always begins with my sketchbook and my own personal experiences. Schulz Brau, a local brewery, celebrates Oktoberfest every year with amazing food, lots of beer, and many Oktoberfest related events. I went many times with my sketchbook and drew out the experiences I had. Then, I task myself with the job of editing the moments down to a select few that capture the general feelings of the event but also make great drawings.
